Greeters Ministry

 

Ministry Leader: Carol Lightner

 

Purpose: "For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness: " Psalm 84:10

 

The usher ministry is responsible for greeting and seating the congregation at regular services and at other times when large gatherings are held in the church. Receive the offering during regular and scheduled worship services. Other duties include welcoming members and visitors as they enter to worship, serving as liaison between the Pastor and the congregation, and attending to the general needs of the worshippers. This ministry is instrumental in making the initial impression of the church, as members of this ministry are often the first congregates our guests encounter. During the intimacy of information gathering, the guests have an opportunity to experience the warmth of LCC.

 

MASS (Marriage and Singles Solution)

 

Ministry Leader: Pastor Sam and Pertrenna Jackson

 

Purpose: 'And Adam said, this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man Therefore, shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." Genesis 2:23-24

1) To deepen the relationship of husbands and wives with each other and with Christ

2) To provide mutual Spiritual support for all couples within the Ministry

3) To bring together families in the church

4) To bring unsaved spouses into church

5) To provide a social outlet for couples

 

To achieve these goals Ministry will utilize family and group seminars, couples' bible study and prayer sessions, confidential experience-sharing sessions, spiritual and lay speakers, social activities, and spiritual retreats.

New Members Ministry

 

Ministry Leader:  Debra King

 

Purpose: Jesus said, "Do you love me? Tend my lambs...Feed my sheep" John 21:15-16

​

This ministry is to facilitate the maximum retention and development of members when they unite with the LCC family. This ministry will establish a program that will follow each new member for a period of three months, which includes orientation and transition. This ministry will also guide new members to attend bible study and encourage them to become active in some organization of the church.

Men's Ministry (Men with a Purpose)

 

Ministry Leader:  Bennie Young

 

Purpose: "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" Proverbs 27:17

 

Two-fold:

 

1) To foster spiritual growth for every man to begin their journey of finding their purpose in life.

2) To be an evangelistic ministry that ministers to the need of the community by integrating the purpose of each man within the ministry as a whole, understanding our purpose as one in the Body of Christ.

The Holy Spirit is our source of spiritual empowerment and direction as Men with Purpose Ministry establishes its presence in the community as an evangelistic ministry. Prayer, faith, commitment, and the spirit of love within our ministry will define The Men with Purpose as a ministry truly seeking its purpose. As such, each man will need to find his own purpose as he strives to walk by faith. lt is from this spiritual faith walk that the Men with Purpose Ministry will find its divine purpose as a ministry of LCC.

Women's Ministry (Women Encouraging Women) 18+Years

 

Ministry Leader:  Min. Sandra Young

 

Purpose: "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. You are His masterpiece and you are perfect in His sight!" Ephesians 2:10

 

The ultimate purpose of the fellowship is to empower women to seek and fulfill their God-given purpose in life. The mission of Women Encouraging Women is to provide a safe haven of fellowships where women are exhorted to know God more intimately and experience the true power of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Kid's Kingdom

 

Ministry Leader: Sharone Otteh

 

Purpose: 'Train up a child in the way he should go and when he's old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

 

Our purpose is to equip youth disciples for the ministry so that they may fulfill Christ's great commission to go into the world and do likewise. To achieve that purpose, we are committed to the following principles.

 

Mission: We have a vision for a vibrant, youth fellowship that is serious about praising and worshiping the Lord. We don't play lip service; we love Jesus. We are not along for the ride; we want to drive. We are not content to let the world around us wallow in darkness; we are willing to go into the darkness to shine the light of Jesus Christ. We are willing to step out if our comfort zone and sacrifice ourselves for

His sake. We will take up our cross daily and follow where Christ leads. We are a group of disciples who will evangelize to others and make disciples for Jesus Christ.

 

Music Ministry

 

Ministry Leader(s): Mrs. Pertrenna Jackson

 

Purpose: "O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with Psalms. For the Lord is a Great God and a King above all gods." Psalms 95:1-3

 

The purpose and responsibility of this ministry is to minister praises unto our God through song and music. The choir shall and will cooperate with the pastor to arrange and be responsible for and maintaining a musical program of excellence for the church on its appointed or designated times to render service. We're always ready along with our music director to provide spirit-filled and

inspirational music during services as deemed appropriate. We have a song to sing on the Lord's Day.

Technology Ministry

 

Ministry Leaders: Torrence and Jawana Adams/ Elysea Jackson/Cody Swafford

 

Purpose: "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." Romans 10:17

 

The vision of the Technology Ministry is to increase the visibility of Liberty Christian Church in the community. The purpose and responsibility of this ministry is to oversee the operation, maintenance, and security of the sound system. The chairperson must ensure that all members are trained to operate the system and maintain a schedule for Sunday services and other scheduled services, and coordinate various technical-related lT services (i.e. church website events and services.)
